HIGH TIMES // Broadway // Brooklyn.
I accidentally went to this
gallery, after a friend suggested a concert to attend while in the states. Long
story short we got there to find that it was an intimate gallery for budding
fine artists, which doubled as a concert venue in the basement. There were all
sorts of weird and wonderful pieces of performance art and installations, but
my favourite was this painting. Untitled and unclaimed, I simply loved the
colours and imagery used. The mask and brushstrokes characterize the
crucifixion. I’m a fan of any comical jab towards religion.
